Nesvik promotes to brigadier general and assumes command of Wyo. Army Guard

Col. Brian Nesvik will be promoted to brigadier general in the Wyoming Army National Guard at 6:30 p.m. April 6, at the Joint Forces Readiness Center, in Cheyenne.

Directly after his promotion, Nesvik will assume command of the Wyoming Army National Guard from Brig. Gen. Tammy Maas.

As the Assistant Adjutant General – Army, for the Wyoming National Guard, Nesvik will oversee the missions and people in the roughly 1,500-member force.

Nesvik previously served as the Wyoming Army National Guard deputy chief of staff of operations. He is a traditional Guard soldier who works full time as the Chief Game Warden for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

He has been a member of the Wyoming Army National Guard since 1986.
