Jul 31, 2017

Steve Kravitsky has been named the director of the Wyoming Veterans Commission. He begins his duties August 1.

Kravitsky recently retired after serving more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He most recently served as the commander of the 90th Missile Wing, located at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, in Cheyenne.

“I look forward to ensuring Wyoming veterans continue to receive necessary information and benefits services from the commission,” Kravitsky said. “It’s important to me to take care of the men and women who took care of our state and nation.”

As director, he will oversee daily operations for the 12-member governor-appointed commission, the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum and the Wyoming National Guard Museum.

Kravitsky takes over for Larry Barttelbort who is retiring after serving as the commission’s director for eight years.
