Wyoming National Guard hosts 3rd annual SAPR 5K

- WHEN: Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Depot Museum, 121 W 15th St. Registration and pack pick-up at 7 a.m.; race starts at 8:30 a.m.; awards ceremony begins at 9:15 a.m.
The Wyoming Military Department invites all Cheyenne residents to participate in the 3rd annual SAPR 5K ruck, run or walk. The event includes participants from the Wyoming National Guard, F.E. Warren Air Force Base and members of the community.
The Wyoming Air National Guard’s 153rd Airlift Wing is hosting the event to raise awareness of sexual assault and prevention. Participants can walk, run or ruck the course that winds around downtown. Rucks must be a minimum of 35 pounds.
Day-of registration and packet pick up begins at 7 a.m. inside the depot. Military and civilian leaders will speak to participants at 8:10 a.m.
The awards ceremony is anticipated to begin at 9:15 a.m. Prizes will be awarded in several categories to include: community team run/ruck, military team run/ruck, youth team run/ruck, military traveling trophy and various individual running awards.
